WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THERAPY?

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS FROM THERAPY?
The timeframe for seeing results varies depending on the individual and the specific concerns being addressed. Some people experience improvements within a few weeks, while others may take several months. Factors like the nature of the concern, severity of the issue/symptoms, commitment to therapy, frequency of sessions and the fit between client and therapist can influence the pace of progress. It is important to be patient and consistent with your therapy sessions.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I ATTEND THERAPY SESSIONS?
The frequency of your therapy sessions will be determined by your therapist in collaboration with you. Common schedules include weekly, bi- weekly, or monthly sessions. Initial sessions are usually more frequent, and eventually, as progress is made, the sessions can be spaced out further depending on need and goals. Ultimately, the goal is to find a schedule that allows for consistent progress while respecting your time and budget.
CAN I CALL MY THERAPIST IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY?
While your therapist is here to support you on your mental health journey, it's important to understand their role. They specialize in providing focused guidance during scheduled sessions. This means they can't offer crisis counseling or ongoing communication outside of those appointments.
It's important to discuss your therapist's emergency protocol during your initial sessions. Some therapists may offer a referral list for crisis support resources.
There are two main reasons for this policy:
To prevent dependency: We want you to develop healthy coping mechanisms and build your inner strength. Regular sessions provide the space for this growth, while relying on constant therapist contact might hinder that process.
To maintain professional boundaries: Therapists have set working hours and responsibilities outside of client sessions. This policy ensures they can offer their full attention and expertise during your appointments while also taking care of their own well-being.

HOW SOON CAN I GET AN APPOINTMENT?
Wait time for appointments can vary depending on the availability of therapists and the demand for services. Depending on the therapist's case load, once your sessions begin, your therapist may fix a regular schedule with you to enable continuity in sessions and progress.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Appointments are scheduled in advance to ensure continuity of care. The client is responsible for notifying the counselor at least 48 hours in advance of any need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to provide timely notice may result in a cancellation fee of the full amount.
The counselor will also make every effort to provide notice of any cancellations or rescheduling needs on their part. The refund will be processed within 3-5 working days of request.
Kindly note:
If due to any reasons, the client wishes to cancel or reschedule a session for a particular day, it would be advised to do so at least 48 hours prior to your session.
In case the session is cancelled before 48 hours, full refund will be made. Failure to do so will lead to no refund.
If due to any reasons, the therapist is unavailable on the scheduled slot, they will also inform you about the same and will refund the full amount in this case.
The therapist will wait up to 15 minutes of the set session time (unless told beforehand to expect the client later). If the client does not turn up, the session stands cancelled.
The sessions stand confirmed unless explicitly cancelled.
Cases where the client cancels a session any time after 48 hours โ it is counted as a paid cancellation. The amount due in a โpaid cancellationโ is that of the total session fee.
To cancel or reschedule, kindly inform the therapist at least 48 hours before the set date and slot so that other clients that are kept on hold can take over that slot and benefit from therapy. The therapist will extend the same courtesy to the client in the rare circumstances where the session cancellation is from the therapistโs side.

CAN I GET A RECEIPT FOR INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT OR INVOICE FOR SESSIONS?
Yes, upon request, we provide you with a receipt for your sessions that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We also provide invoice for sessions as per requirement. Please note that insurance coverage for therapy varies depending on your plan. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to determine your coverage for mental health services.
